School Programme Director

We are excited to be recruiting a School Programme Director for Researchers in Schools. The Brilliant Club launched its current strategy, The Path to Outcomes, in 2016, in which we have committed to delivering consistent and reliable outcomes for our pupils. This includes a pledge to support 6,500 pupils from under-represented backgrounds to progress to highly-selective universities by 2021.

As a senior leader within the Researchers in Schools Team, this role will play an important part in delivering this strategy, with oversight of the delivery of the programme in schools and with ITT partners. This includes managing the provision and co-ordination of initial teacher training for a national cohort of teachers, and building the partnerships and processes to deliver this at scale. As a member of the Programme Leadership Team, the School Programme Director will play also a part in decision-making and co-ordinating activities across the programme.

The role requires a proven leader, with significant experience of success within initial teacher training. They will have oversight of the support provided to participants to complete the programme. Along with this, they will oversee a range of school relationships and support wider sector relationships. They will manage a small team of programme officers and administrators, which has scope to grow as the programme scales.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished relationship manager, with excellent communication, inter-personal and relationship management skills developed through success in previous roles. They will be an adept project manager, able to co-ordinate programme activities, track progress and deliver results. They will show humility, openness and positivity as a leader, and a commitment to delivering excellent standards.
